THE CAMPSITE
Come and see
our new Warthogs Pub, complete with fantastic views, great
mellow music and some wicked cocktails.
The campsite
is set away from the main lodge, in a prime position on the
banks of the Luangwa River.

The camp is complete with grassy
areas, shady trees, ablution blocks with hot showers, thatched
shelters for big groups, power points, swimming pool and bar for
refreshing drinks after a long days’ drive.
The camping
area has one of the best views in the valley for watching the
sunset across the Luangwa River. Regular night time visitors to
the campsite include elephants, hippos, lions and recently
hyenas. The resident leopard does let you hear when he is
around, but is not keen on being seen.
Our
campsite is well designed for overland trucks with parking areas and
shelters to cook under. Power points and plenty of fresh drinking water are on site.
Guests
joining our game drives are picked up and dropped off at their
location, assuring a smooth operation. Our management is
experienced in group-tours as well as being on the road. Please
feel free to ask if there is any way in which we can assist you.
Guests
staying at the campsite are more than welcome to order their
meals from our excellent kitchen in the main
restaurant,
located a few minutes drive from the campsite. All meals are
prepared from local produce and we offer a menu to suit all
tastes. In the evening and early mornings we can supply
transport to and from the restaurant.
Our showers
are 'steaming' and ready for you to wash off all the dust
collected on the road. Our bar is stocked with ice-cold drinks
to quench your thirst.
The swimming
pool in the campsite is a welcome break from the heat of the
day, and there is ample shade around the bar area for everyone
to relax and enjoy the riverside view.
We offer
special rates for big groups who wish to do more than one game
activity and can arrange group meals on request.
Tours to
local villages
are also becoming popular for groups, so
please contact us with any questions and suggestions.
We can
arrange visa waivers – please email me your pax list, passport
info and day of arrival at least 4 days before arrival and we
will try our best to organize this.
The emphasis
in Wildlife Camp is still on a bush experience. We regularly get
visits from hippos, bushbuck, elephants, impala, leopards and
lions, so your game viewing starts right here in camp!
