CHALETS, TENTED CAMP AND BUSH CAMP

We have a total of nine chalets, some twin, another double, and two family chalets. Our tented Camp has five on-suite tents and our bushcamp has four twin tents.

Lagoon-side chalets

We have five chalets situated in a quiet corner of the camp, overlooking a lagoon area and surrounded by shady trees. Parking for your vehicle is available right by the chalets. A combination of rustic and comfortable, they all offer a unique view over the lagoon where wildlife is abundant.

We offer three chalets that can sleep up to three guests, a fourth chalet for two with a double bed and also a further chalet that can accommodate a family of four in two separate bedrooms with dining area.

All have a veranda with seating that allow you to relax and unwind, whilst watching the wildlife that is all around.

Full board or non-self-catering guests enjoy their meals from our excellent kitchen in the main restaurant, located a few minutes stroll away from the chalets. All meals are prepared from local produce and we offer a menu to suit all tastes. In the evening and early mornings we supply transport to and from the restaurant.

For self-catering guests we offer kitchen facilities with basic utensils. Should you require the assistance of a cook, please specify when booking, since we need 24 hrs notice.

A private dining room / entertainment area (available for chalet occupants only), where you can enjoy your own meals and watch the world go by.

A fridge and freezer are available for your use.

River-side chalets

We have four chalets which are located in the centre of our camp. Conveniently close to our reception area, main bar and restaurant, these chalets each offer unique views over the Luangwa River.

We have three chalets that can sleep up to three guests and a fourth chalet which can accommodate a family of four in two separate bedrooms. All chalets have a rear door to the balcony from which to sit and enjoy the tranquil setting, whilst viewing the game that passes by daily.

Tented Camp

A very private section of our camp offering all en-suite tented accommodation.  Located beyond our campsite with magnificent views over the river, it is perfectly set up for groups as well as the independent traveller.

We offer five tents, all located under a thatched roof, each with two beds, an open air shower and toilet facilities. Each tent also has a small veranda to the front with comfortable chairs and fantastic river views.

Enjoy the tranquillity and stunning setting. This location offers the classic combination of rustic, comfortable and affordable in a real “Out of Africa” tented camp.

Full board or non-self-catering guests enjoy their meals from our excellent kitchen in the main restaurant, located a few minutes drive away from the tented camp. In the evening and early mornings we supply transport to and from the restaurant. During the day you are invited to conduct your own walking safari along the river within the boundary of our camp. The clearly marked footpath, along the Luangwa River, brings you from the tented camp right to our main restaurant and bar area.

For self-catering guests we offer kitchen facilities with basic utensils. Should you require the assistance of a cook, please specify when booking, since we need 24 hrs notice.

A private dining room / entertainment area is available for tent occupants only. Here you can enjoy your own meals with stunning views in the privacy of your “own” camp.

Whether you choose to stay in the Tented Camp, the Lagoon or River chalets, all offer you the classic safari-camp atmosphere at very affordable prices.

We offer full board packages which include all meals, two activities a day and accommodation, how easy can life get in the bush?

All rooms are provided with mosquito nets and we do have electricity available (power cuts permitting).

Wildlife Bushcamp

The Wildlife bush camp offers guests a chance to experience an over-night walking safari, complete with bucket showers and meals cooked on an open fire! Our cooks will amaze you with the menu and nothing can compare to a night in the wilds and the sounds you can hear. The camp consists of four twin tents, two bush toilets and bucket showers – it has no electricity and is basic in many ways but rich in atmosphere and location.

Our knowledgeable and qualified Zambian guides, an armed scout and bush “chef” escort you on this magical overnight trip and show you the wonders of nature.

A morning walk will take you out to the bush camp, where our cook is waiting for you with refreshments. After brunch, a relaxing afternoon in the middle of the bush awaits you, with bird song, hippo conversation and other animal sounds. Regular visits from elephants or giraffes make the afternoon complete. After tea is served, the second walk of the day goes out to return just before sunset.

Our bush camp is offered as full-board only, including all your meals and activities from the day you depart, until the last breakfast and return walk from the bush.

What more can be said, it’s an experience not to be missed!

As the Bushcamp is so popular and to assure the privacy of the bush for our guests (maximum eight), booking early is essential.
